Hereford United manager Martin Foyle made it plain in his post match interview he wasn't happy with finding out leading scorer Ryan Bowman couldn't play in the match against Newport less than three hours before kick-off.
"Ryan sent a text at 5.15pm saying he was ill," Foyle told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"That was great.
"I could have done with knowing a little bit earlier to organise it a bit more but today's players are different aren't they."
Foyle felt it was a good game with two evenly matched sides.
"Probably their experienced players in the last ten or fifteen minutes knew how to win a game.
"But it was ten times better than Saturday and the supporters got behind the lads.
"But when Marley went off it just dis-jointed us a little bit."
With Bowman out Marlon Jackson partnered Chris Sharp in attack.
"It looked like we tired with Marlon not playing much football, the same with Sharp and Junior (Simikle).
"I thought we ran out of legs a little bit.
Meanwhile the referee came in for some stick from Foyle even though the Bulls were awarded three penalties. However there was praise for Josh O'Keefe who converted two of them.
"Should the referee have sent the player off, did he even book him, did he even book him for the blatant hand-ball where he punched the ball for the second one.
"All these little things add up.
"And even Wilmot when he went in on Bitts and stuck his knee in.
"Marley took the first one which was saved then the hand ball which gave us that life-line. Two well struck penalties by Josh."
