Gloucester are set to extend their groundshare at Cheltenham for a fourth year. The deal is worth around £45,000 to the Robins, with the Tigers' new ground still stuck in Council planning hell. Lincoln chief executive Steve Prescott says the club's postponed home match with Wrexham is likely to cost the £5,000 in revenue, and that they are 'desperate' to get Saturday's match with Forest Green on to get cash into the club. Without it, they will have gone a month without a home match.
Luton have been linked to Southend winger David Martin, a former Bulls target some years ago, but boss Paul Buckle says a central defender is his priority. Ebbsfleet chairman Jessica McQueen has denied press claims that the club put out the cash call because they were days from Administation, but that they were looking at the longer term shortfall. The local press say they need to find quick cash after a lack of home games stifled cashflow, but McQueen says the wage bill has been paid.
Tamworth have signed defender Jonathan Thorpe from Cambridge on loan for a month. The teenage right back has started eight games for the U's this term. Stockport hope to have their new manager in place before this weekend. Amongst those rumoured to be in the frame are former Luton boss Gary Brabin and ex-Bull Jimmy Quinn, but fellow ex-Bull Gary Lowe is reported to have failed in his application.
