One of Port Vale's Supporters Club board has written on their website about the current uncertainty about Keith Ryder's bid for the club, saying that the Supporters Club board are likely to quit en masse at the next election due to the abuse received from supporters. They believe Ryder, who is still not returning calls, has already put £300,000 into the club but is struggling to finance the completion of the deal. Administrator Bob Young says he is speaking to two more potential bidders and will face supporters tonight in an open meeting.
Former Bulls trialist Dan Smith has agreed non-contract terms with Weymouth. The former Plymouth man has been with the Terras for the past week. Telford boss Andy Sinton has blasted keeper Chris Martin after the former Port Vale man went missing just before he was due to sign a contract with the club. Martin was due to play 45 minutes of their weekend match with Wolves but failed to appear at the ground, and Sinton now is unlikely to sign him.
