Lincoln have had their final pre-season friendly at Sincil Bank against Leicester cancelled on Police advice. The match, due to take place today, will now take place behind closed doors on Leicester's training pitches after Police received intelligence that there was a high chance of significant disorder. Luton have loaned teenage keeper Lewis Kidd to Dunstable Town. He is third choice currently at Kenilworth Road after signing a pro deal in the summer.
Port Vale say that they will allow fans into their last pre-season match with Tranmere, but today's game with Coventry will be played behind closed doors. The club is having to do work to the floodlights, CCTV, tannoy, and emergency lighting at Vale Park. A Supporters Club statement says there is still no movement on Keith Ryder's bid for the club, and that they will hold an open meeting on Monday.
Portsmouth are down to two players after striker Dave Kitson agreed a settlement on his deal. The departure leaves just Liam Lawrence and Tal Ben Haim at Fratton Park, with both reported to have Championship clubs interested in their services. The local council have confirmed receiving a request from the Supporters Trust for a bridging loan for it's bid for the club, and says it is considering the matter.
