News Round-Up

Prior to the weekend, Newport added winger Ben Swallow, midfielder Kris Fielden, and defender Mark Cooper on one month deals. Swallow, 22, left Bristol Rovers in January before a brief spell with York. Cooper, 20, is also a former Gashead, while Fielden comes up from the Exiles' youth side. Exiles boss Justin Edinburgh says the short term deals are all the club can currently afford.

Woking chairman Mike Smith has been co-opted onto the board of the Conference and will have responsibility to act as a liaison between the board and four clubs including his own and the Bulls. Port Vale boss Micky Adams says the budget he agreed with prospective owner Keith Ryder is no longer available to him with the takeover still stalled. He is not able to sign any more players than those he currently has.

Truro City say they have agreed a deal to sell their ground to a developer that will guarantee player wages for the next two years. No further details on the deal have been released.
