With the news that access to Rodney Parade is to be by ticket only, BN has taken an unusually early look at the rest of the arrangements for the fixture.
Regardless of the availability or otherwise of any additional tickets, it appears that Gwent’s finest also intend to restrict coach travellers to arriving only in time to gain access to the ground and to insist on coach departures immediately after the game. Coaches are to be instructed to unload outside the ground, park some distance away and return in time to pick-up at the final whistle. It is thought that minibuses may be treated in the same way.
There is no public parking at Rodney Parade and Newport Station is a brisk ten/fifteen minute walk from the ground. There are car parks in Emlyn Street (30 spaces), off Clarence Place and the multi-storey on the riverside (footbridge back across the river to Rodney Parade. My slight concern is a note saying the multi-storey closes at 10.00 pm. http://www.newport-county.co.uk/downloads/find_us.pdf
Admission to the ground is via the turnstile (singular?) at Gate 6 off Corporation Road. Walk down Rodney Road and turn left into Grafton Road then right into Corporation Road. Gate 6 is at the far end of the ground. http://www.newport-county.co.uk/downloads/rpgp.pdf
HUISA (which may be a good bet) details will follow ASAP.
