Kenny Lunt has finally been spotted pre-season, with the midfielder turning out for Helsby FC.
The Third Division West Cheshire League side beat Crewe FC 7-2 at the weekend, with Lunt pulling the strings in midfield. Crewe manager Ian O'Reilly said of the former Championship player:
“Kenny didn’t really need to break sweat he has so much quality. He was at Hereford last year so I expect he was just having a run-out with his local club to keep fit."
With Nicky Featherstone and Ben Purkiss signing for Walsall earlier today, taking the number of the relegation side now playing in League One to four, only Lunt, Delroy Facey, and Danny Williams are yet to agree deals with new sides from the 12 players axed from Edgar Street in the summer.
