Late Start Hits Gate

The delayed start to this afternoon's game at Edgar Street is thought to have affected the gate by perhaps as many as 200.

The news that the Ebbsfleet coach had broken down on the M40 quickly spread around outside the ground and also through the media.

Hereford United director Nick Nenadich, pictured, was interviewed on BBC Hereford and Worcester in the hope of informing some supporters of the delay.  He also took the time to talk to fans outside the ground about the situation.

Initially it was hoped that the game could start at 4pm but later this was revised to 4.30pm. That was too late for some supporters.

In the event the Ebbsfleet coach arrived at the ground just after 3.30pm.

Meanwhile Westons Cider have taken most of the advertising space above the Meadow End in a deal reputed to be worth around £4K to the club.
