After yesterday's HUISA AGM, chairman Keith Dodd spoke to BN.
"It's been quite a good year, apart from what happened on the football pitch," said Dodd.
"The 50/50 match day draw brought in around £7000 and we've donated over £8000 to the football club.
"It's been used for a lot of things. There was some refurbishment of the gym. We also did the disabled area.
"It also been used to support the new Starlite Rooms and Addisons Bar.
"There have been a lot of unexpected things in there like the extractor fan which was a ridiculous amount of money, the cost of the lift for the disabled.
"So we've helped out in there and will continue to do so.
"We're now sponsoring one of the junior football teams - the under 16's.
"They will have HUISA football shirts which is nice. Hopefully some members will go and see them play."
Dodd is very pleased with how well the Starlite Rooms are bringing in much needed extra income to Hereford United.
"We're hoping to get to £7,000 per week. That income is essential and without that the summer months would have been very difficult.
"The Starlite Room is booked up very near to Christmas. I've booked shows myself and I've found it difficult to get a couple of dates.
"We're keeping the Christmas period for dinner dances and things like that but the success of the Starlite Room is going from strength to strength and there's even plans for a wedding brochure.
"There's also been money spent on the VP (vice-president's) Club so we can use that facility as well.
"So we've that the VP, Radfords, Starlite and Addisons hopefully all earning income on a regular basis off the pitch.
"That all adds to the turnover which helps the playing budget.
"It's all good news really.
"And now we've had a good start on the field, let's hope that will continue."
