Colin Addison has joined the Hereford United board of directors.
In a statement chairman David Keyte explained the thinking behind the appointment.
"We have invited Colin to join the board in a non-executive position with ambassadorial duties," said Keyte as reported by the Hereford Times.
"Anyone who knows Colin will be aware that that is what he has been doing for Hereford United for the last fourty years off his own bat.
"We are recognising that and formalising the position, something we are delighted to be able to do.
"This role does not emcompass any footballing duties but we are fully aware of the football experience that Colin brings to the board.
"No doubt, if Martin Foyle wants to pick his brains then Colin will be delighted to talk to him"

"I'm so pleased," said Addison.
"It's a privilege to be asked to join the board.
"Of course, I have accepted and look forward to the challenge.
"It will be nice to be involved particularily after such a wonderful start from the team."
