Everton have pulled out of the Java Cup after failing to receive assurances about the competition which was due to take place in Indonesia later this week.
An Everton reserve squad is due to play a friendly against Hereford United on this coming Saturday.
Whether this squad will now contain some first-team players remains to be seen.
