News Round-Up

Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio has been named Manager of the Year for League Two at the LMA awards last night. However the news is tempered by revelations in this morning's national press that he is being investigated by the FA over claims of racist abuse towards former Robins loanee Jonathan Tehoue. The Leyton Orient striker ended his loan spell prematurely after a spat with the Italian.

Wycombe have announced that club owner Steve Hayes is in advanced talks about selling the club to the Supporters Trust. The club's financial position is precarious, with the accounts being several months late, with Hayes having had to pump several million pounds into the Chairboys in recent seasons. Mansfield have rejected an offer from Burnley for full back Luke O'Neill. The 20 year old former Leicester trainee arrived at Field Mill last summer.

Bradford say they will not continue their development squad next season, citing the project as a waste of money. The club previously claimed the 18 man squad was costing just £2,000 a week to run, and it has already produced in-demand striker Nahki Wells. Exeter's Supporters Trust has come under fire from a former club chairman after it changed it's investment in the club from a loan to a donation so it could spend more on player wages - without agreement of it's membership.

Newport will find out by the end of the month whether they will remain at Spytty Park next season or they are allowed to groundshare at Rodney Parade, home of two eggchasing sides. They need to leave their current home as the council owners will not resolve drainage issues or assist in upgrading the facility to Football League standard. Bournemouth have released a total of seven players. Along with former Bulls loanee Lyle Taylor, former Shrewsbury and Accrington striker Michael Symes is also on the list.

Luton are reporting sales of over 22,000 for Sunday's Conference play-off final. York have sold just over 5,000. Neath have been handed a two week stay of execution on a winding up order from Barclays after the paperwork for the court was not in order. Southport have frozen season ticket prices for the coming season. The Sandgrounders were the cheapest for matchday entry in the Conference last season, but their early-bird terrace ticket is £230, just £4 less than at Edgar Street.

Former Bulls loanee Stephen Jennings is reported to have rejected a move to Rotherham as he wants to stay at Motherwell. Macclesfield have sold striker George Donnelly to Rochdale for an undisclosed fee. The 23 year old has signed a two year deal at Spotland after seven goals in 32 games last season.

Kettering acting chairman George Rolls has warned that the club may enter into Administration without extra money coming into the club over the summer. Rolls, who has overseen turmoil at Weymouth and Cambridge, says that the taxman is ready to call time on the club over unpaid bills.
