It's not just the Bulls with an unhappy board member quitting - Mansfield have had four walk out today.
The Mansfield Chad reports that Steve Hymas, Andy Saunders, Steve Middleton, and Darren Bland have quit the board, with a statement from the quartet expressing their frustration:
“In recent months our input has not been welcomed or has been ignored
and, therefore, we wish to disassociate ourselves from recent activity
at the football club.
“The role of directors is to ensure correct
or best practice in the boardroom, management and accountability at the
football club and, in our opinion, this has not been the case in recent
months.
Hymas was previously the club's main sponsor and also acted as Head of Youth, while Saunders and Middleton initially came in as part of the four man consortium that bought the club in 2008.
Their departures leave owner John Radford and his girlfriend, Carolyn Still, and two other executive directors on the board, along with the fans representative. Still has hit the headlines for her past, and she was arrested during the club's play-off match with York after remonstrating with Police.
The Club are yet to make a response. Hymas claimed earlier this week that they had not been consulted on the season ticket prices that had infuriated fans, a claim later denied by Still.
