News Round-Up

The Shropshire Star reports that Shrewsbury fans have started an internet campaign against their 'Microsoft clipart' badge. The badge was redesigned in 2007 to coincide with their ground move but the new design has angered many for its cheap look. Aldershot striker Danny Hylton has been banned for eight matches for two counts of racial abuse during a match with Barnet last October. The incidents sparked a mass brawl between the two sides.

Bradford have released defenders Marcel Seip and Rob Kozluk, plus midfielder Lee Bullock. Bullock was their longest serving player, while defenders Guy Branston and Steve Williams are amongst six contracted players to be transfer listed. Cambridge have announced that defender Rory McAuley and midfielder Rossi Jarvis have signed new deals for the coming season.

Grimsby are in negotiations with winger Serge Makofo in a bid to pay up his contract and release him. The Congolese 25 year old was transfer listed last summer but remains at the club with a year still left on his deal. Newcomers Hyde have lost the services of Chairman Allan Kenyon after he quit the club entirely to concentrate on his business interests. The news comes just a week after manager Gary Lowe walked out.
