Hereford United chairman David Keyte has said that he knows it won't be easy to get back into League Two.
"It took the club nigh on ten years to get back last time, and everybody tells me the Conference is a tough league," said Keyte.
"But it is important to accept that Hereford, with the finances
involved in football, are always going to be in the revolving door
between League Two and the Conference most years.
"Football in League Two last season was probably far stronger in terms of bigger clubs than perhaps for a number of years.
"There is nothing between the bottom seven or eight teams in the League and the top seven or eight in the Conference.
"There are also bigger clubs in the Conference than Hereford
United with their fan base, so it is going to be a tough League to get
out of.
"From a spectators point of view it's probably not the end of the
world, on paper there are some attractive games and we will be renewing
some of our old links with the likes of Kidderminster Harriers, Forest
Green and Newport County."
Keyte is at Edgar Street today. He faces the difficult task of telling various players and staff whether they will be required next season.
He is said to be hopeful that manager Richard O'Kelly will stay on with the club. Hopefully an annoucement one way or the other will be made at some stage this week.
