Hereford United manager Richard O'Kelly is hopeful a deal can be agreed whereby Lyle Taylor will extend his loan from Bournemouth.
Taylor played his last game of his present loan this afternoon at Morecambe and scored the only goal of the game.
"There are already negotiations taking place," O'Kelly told BBC Hereford and Worcester.
"From our point of view there are financial restrictions at Hereford, priorities sometimes.
"I only met him a week ago and he's the sort of player I love to work with him for a longer period.
"He scored a great goal and showed some quality with his finish and although he's young he's a player with great potential.
"I hope we can work something."
