The predicted snow around Hereford has largely failed to appear, increasing the prospects of Saturday's match being on.
The Met Office reports there was light snow around 3am but it quickly disappeared and no more snow, sleet, or rain is now forecast ahead of kick off.
Overnight temperatures dipped to only -0.2, with above freezing temperatures predicted until 9pm tonight and a low of -4. Tomorrow is expected to be sunny, but is not expected to rise above freezing much before kick-off.
Both the Hereford Times weather prediction and the BBC largely follow the Met Office, except they expect tonight to drop to -6.
Meanwhile, BBC Hereford and Worcester's Dave Bradley has tweeted about the phantom pitch inspection, saying that another radio station had told them about it and they assumed it was correct.
