Preview: Bulls vs Cheltenham

The Bulls entertain Cheltenham Town in a League Two match on Saturday.

The two sides have met 11 times in recent history with the Robins winning just once, a 2-0 win in February 1999. The Bulls have won six and drawn four of the other encounters, and are eight games unbeaten in the fixture. Earlier in the season the two sides played out a goalless draw at Whaddon Road, while last February the Bulls won 3-0 with Waide Fairhurst scoring twice on his debut.

The Bulls will be looking to reverse some pretty appaling home form. Only Northampton, with one home win all season, have a more embarassing record on their own patch. However this season's home form is better than last term, with the Bulls collecting three wins this term to two last season at the same stage. Jamie Pitman's men finished January's form table in 11th place, collecting as many points as Macclesfield, Gillingham, Bradford, and Burton did - combined.

Robins boss Mark Yates has acknowledged that their record against the Bulls 'isn't great'. Since going on a ten match unbeaten run, including eight wins, that propelled them to the top of the table, Yates' side has lost two of the last three games. Their losses to Crawley and the rejuvenated Bristol Rovers sandwiched an away win at freefalling Macclesfield. Top scorer Daryl Duffy has 12 goals this term, but his strike on Tuesday was his first for eight games.

Hereford United vs Cheltenham Town, Edgar Street, Saturday 11th February, 3pm.
