Plymouth drop to the foot of the table after losing 3-2 at Crewe to remain on 18 points. Aldershot extend their poor run to just one goal in seven matches as they went down 3-0 at home to Oxford.
At the other end of the table Southend's 3-0 win over ten man Port Vale puts them up to second on goal difference. Oxford's win puts them up to seventh, pushing Burton - who lost 2-0 to Accrington last night, out of the play-offs.
In the Conference, with the top two in FA Cup action, Luton moved third with a 2-0 win over Newport. Kidderminster moved into the play-off zone with a 3-1 win over Hayes and Yeading. Darlington took over 1,000 fans to Barrow for what could be their final match but they lost 3-0 with just 11 professionals and five youth teamers available to boss Craig Liddle.
