Pitman happy with a point.

Hereford United manager Jamie Pitman felt that today's draw at Oxford was a 'great result' for the Bulls.

"I would have said in the last 20 or 25 minutes that we would have taken a draw," Pitman told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"But you get a little bit disappointed that it came down to just that one chance right at the end.

"I am slightly disappointed but ultimately I am delighted with a point as they are a very good side."

Two good crosses from Joe Colbeck resulted in two goals for the Bulls even if they both went in courtesy of Oxford defender Michael Duberry.

"We got the ball in the box which put pressure on him and lead to his mistakes."

Pitman was quick to praise Oxford.

"We worked really hard again today against a very good Oxford team."

Stefan Stam (pictured) was subbed at half-time due to an injury.

"Stefan has had an on-going knee problem for a while. He's not really trained at all. He's a little bit like Ledley King at Spurs.

"We try to look after him a little bit. But he got to the point where it was just too sore."

In truth Oxford missed a hat-full of chances.

"They missed a few chances, I'm not going to deny it, we could have quite easy been six down, but we've held on and worked really hard for the result."

And Hereford had a couple of excellent chances in the second half.

"We've had a one on one (Arquin), we've had a header knocked down from Tom onto Nicky Featherstone which might have gone a different way, Joe Colbeck had a good chance."
