News Round-Up

Darlington's former chairman Raj Singh says he will not block any rescue of the club despite registering his investment into the club as a debt with the Administrator, saying he does not expect a penny back from his investment. Meanwhile, the club's Supporters Trust is investigating the legal situation over their old Feethams home. The ground has remained undeveloped, and partially intact, since they left eight years ago. The Quakers will take just 14 fit players to their match at Barrow today.

Gillingham had to make a last-minute agreement to pay for Police inside the ground to get today's FA Cup match with Stoke to go ahead. The local council threatened to pull their safety certificate after the Police insisted on manning inside the stadium. Former Bulls loanee Tony Capaldi has been sidelined for a further two months after rupturing knee cartilage in a reserve game this week. The Oxford defender is yet to debut for the club due to injuries.

Swindon boss Paolo Di Canio has been charged by the FA with misconduct over his on-pitch celebrations as his side scored a late winner against Northampton on New Years Eve. The Robins are reported to have made an enquiry about Grimsby striker Anthony Elding, while Di Canio has told forward Medhi Kerrouche he can leave the club as his attitude isn't right. Former Bulls midfielder Sam Gwynne has signed for Westfields after leaving Neath.

Kettering have been handed a winding-up petition by the taxman over unpaid taxes. They will face court on February 9th, but it is reported that new backers have agreed to invest in the club shortly. Dagenham have signed West Ham youngsters Eoin Wearen and Ahmed Abdulla on one month loan deals. It is Wearen's first taste of first team action, while Abdulla started two games for Swindon earlier in the season.

Barnet striker Izale McLeod has told his Twitter followers he intends to stay at the club until the end of the season after rumours of a £350,000 offer from Swindon. The 27 year old would be eligible for a free transfer then. Southend's board have decided to refund ticket holders for their abandoned match at Aldershot after the Shots refused to do so. The Shrimpers will hand over 50% of the cost of the ticket, effectively paying for supporters to get into the rearranged game for free.
