News Round-Up

Northampton have completed the signing of loanee Kelvin Langmead on a permanent 18 month deal. The 26 year old had been on loan at Sixfields since the start of the season. The Cobblers have also released Nick McKoy by mutual consent, with the 25 year old making only four League starts since arriving from Kettering in the summer. Rotherham say they have rejected a reported £100,000 offer from Crawley for striker Lewis Grabban.

Swindon are reported to have made 'a substantial offer' for Gillingham winger Luke Rooney. The 21 year old has rejected a new deal at Priestfield and appears set to leave the club. The Robins are also claimed by Sky Sports to have made a £350,000 offer for Barnet's Izale McLeod, with the striker out of contract in the summer, while Rotherham's Lewis Grabban is also reported to be on their target list.

Worcester won the latest round of their planning application bid for their new ground at Nunnery Way by the narrowest of margins. The application was passed by six votes to five, and now has to be passed by the relevant Government department. Accrington have signed Everton defender Aristote Nsiala for an initial month. The 19 year old played 13 times for Macclesfield last term.

Departed Darlington owner Raj Singh has registered his reported £2million investment into the club as a debt. The move means Singh holds over 90% of the believed debt and is the only person that can accept or reject any proposed CVA to save the club. Two further players are reported to have put in notice to quit the club, while the Administrator is claimed to have paid the wages of both Liam Hatch and Jamie Chandler in a bid to get transfer fees for the duo.

Macclesfield are to sign Nantwich Town striker Ben Mills for an undisclosed five figure fee. He is the current top scorer in the Evo-Stik Premier league. Port Vale have halted talks over contract for their players for next season due to their financial uncertainties. They have only five of 19 players under contract for next term, and are reported to have told striker Marc Richards he will have to take a pay cut to remain at the club.

Aldershot are to sign defender Troy Brown from Rotherham until the end of the season. The former Ipswich man, 21, has started only four games for the Millers since his summer arrival. Newport fans have raised over £8,500 in 24 hours after their Supporters Trust set up a fund to finance the signing of new players for the club. Former Bulls keeper Glyn Thompson will now stay at the club after they decided to offload fellow keeper Danny Potter instead.

Accrington midfielder Bryan Hughes has been named as the Player of the Month for December, with Bradford boss Phil Parkinson getting the Manager of the Month award. Plymouth and Barnet are reported to be chasing Crawley defender Charlie Wassmer. The 20 year old is available on loan after struggling to adapt to League football.

Aldershot have signed Hull defender Sonny Bradley for an initial month long loan. The 19 year old is yet to make his first team debut. The Shots have also released midfielder Anthony Pulis after the 27 year old started only one League game this term. Dagenham have signed defender Michael Spillane on a permanent 18 month deal from Brentford. The Irishman has spent the last two months with John Still's men.

Wimbledon have signed defender Callum McNaughton on a permanent deal after his loan from West Ham. The 20 year old was sent off in his only appearance for the Hammers' first team, but has since played 16 games for the Wombles.
