Worcester manager Carl Heeley has said that he pleased to have Tyler Weir in his squad for the rest of the season. Weir had been at Gloucester on loan from Hereford United.
“He’s versatile, can play either full-back role and also in midfield,” Heeley told the Worcester News.
“He’s a professional footballer who has played in the Football League and has gained some experience of the Blue Square Bet North and I think he’s got a lot of potential.
“We have been very impressed when we have seen him and I think he will improve us so we are pleased with the outcome.
“We have got a lot of big games coming up and needed strengthening.
“We are having a decent season but I suppose it’s a bit of a coup that we have taken him from Gloucester.
“We have done it in the right manner. We had a conversation with his parent club, dealt with it professionally and Gloucester were aware of our interest."
Meanwhile Hereford United and Worcester City are considering the possibility of a pre-season friendly to be played at St George's Lane.
