Stam pleased with Two Year Deal

Stefan Stam has told BBC Hereford and Worcester that the location of Edgar Street and the chance of a two year deal helped persuade him to sign for the Bulls.

"There was a few things going on," said Stam. "I had a few phone calls but nothing really.

"I just wanted to stay here and I don't have to move from Bristol so that was good.

"That's what I was looking for the most as a two-year contract means I can get fit and play my games.

"I had a horrible season last year under my previous manager as I wasn't fit for a lot of the time so I just want to get a decent start here and get some games under my belt.

"I enjoyed myself here last year. For me personally, I played eleven and think we only lost one. There were a few clean sheets in there too so I hope we can do the same thing again.

"I just hope Hereford can get a better start than last year as that would improve the season."

Reminded that pre-season involves running up hills, Stam said that's what you do.

"It's the same everywhere but maybe not in Holland!"
