Rejected Plymouth bidder Paul Buttivant has hired a private investigator to examine the club's Administration process. He told the local press he was unhappy with the reasons given for his bid's rejection. The club say the deal to sell the club has been signed, but there are increasing concerns amongst fans that the involvement of Truro owner Kevin Heaney will see the sale blocked. Swindon's game with Rotherham on Sept 3rd will be shown on Sky Sports.

Bradford have signed 16 year old defender Scott Brown from Clyde on a two year deal. The youngster has been handed a squad number by boss Peter Jackson. Bristol Rovers striker Jo Kuffour has rejected a move to Yeovil as he wants to play nearer to London. Southend have been handed an extension to their planning application to build a new stadium. The much-delayed project now has until 2014 to be completed.

Swindon are trialling Italian forward Cristian Cesaretti. The 23 year old scored four goals in the Italian third division last term. Rotherham have made their pre-season friendly with Sheff Weds all-ticket on Police advice. Burton have been offered Derby's u19 England keeper Ross Atkins for the season on loan, with the stopper likely to be offered to another League side if the Brewers turn down the chance.

Stockport have appointed solicitor Tony Evans to their board ahead of a full takeover of the club. He is reported to have injected £250,000 into the club, and has appointed Dietmar Hamann as the club's fifth manager in just over a year. Ray Mathias is reported to have been offered the chance to remain at the club as Hamann's no.2. Crewe are trialling former Leeds keeper Alan Martin and defender Curtis Hayes-Brown, who has been playing for Lowestoft.

Crawley are claimed to have paid Macclesfield £175,000 for striker Tyrone Barnett according to press reports. Aldershot are trialling Chalfont St Peter striker Charlie Strutton. He scored 36 goals for the Evo-Stik 1 Central side last term. Accrington keeper Alex Cisak has signed a two year deal with Oldham. Stanley would be eligible to claim a fee for the 22 year old, but details of any agreement have not yet been disclosed.

Port Vale have appointed youth coach Mark Grew as their new assistant manager, with Geoff Horsfield dropping down to assisting coaching with both the first team and reserves. Bristol Rovers are to sign former Bulls loanee winger Joe Anyinsah. The former Bristol City trainee had an injury-hit season with Charlton last term.

AFC Wimbledon say they will not pay the price asked by Grimsby for ex-Bull Alan Connell after expressing an interest in the 28 year old. Boss Terry Brown says he is not desperate enough for another forward to meet the asking price. Northampton are to run free buses from Rushden and surrounding towns for their first free home matches in a bid to lure fans from the area.

Gillingham are reported to have paid £120,000 for AFC Wimbledon striker Danny Kedwell. Stockport are reported to have had a £100,000 bid for Bury striker Ryan Lowe rejected, although the Shakers deny the bid was that size, and have also had an offer for Accrington's Sean McConville and Halifax's striker Jamie Vardy rejected following yesterday's cash injection. Southend have allowed striker Matt Patterson to go on trial at Oxford. The 21 year old former Southampton trainee still has 12 months left on his deal.

AFC Telford have signed former Bulls loanee Dan Preston on a one year deal. The former Birmingham youngster joins Craig King and Ryan Valentine at the club, while former Bulls reserve stopper Lee Evans is also on trial at the New Bucks Head.
