News Round-Up

The Conference have delayed announcing their fixture lists until after Rushden's appeal, while eyebrows have been raised after it was reported in the Non-League Paper that they are to hand Bishops Stortford £12,000 to aid their travel costs if they are shunted into Conf North as a result of Rushden's expulsion.

Southend's stadium plans look to be further delayed after a local college terminated a land deal with Sainsburys that is needed to form the access to the store to be built on Roots Hall. The supermarket had agreed a 12 month deadline to complete the deal and paid a non-refundable deposit, but the deadline has passed. Plymouth are reported to be chasing forward Liam Dickinson following his release from Barnsley.

Swindon have signed Italian goalkeeper Mattia Lanzano on a two year deal. The 20 year old has been playing in the Italian fourth tier. Stevenage are reported to have lodged a bid for ex-Bulls striker Alan Connell. Former Bulls loanee keeper Scott Tynan has signed for Conf North side Vauxhall Motors.

Stockport are reported to be set to ditch Ray Mathias and appoint Dietmar Hamann as their new manager if their reported takeover goes through. Plymouth have released defender Bondz N'Gala so he can sign for Yeovil. The 21 year old played 26 times last season. Bradford have added to their trialists with released Rotherham defender Jamie Green, 21, and former Oldham keeper Greg Fleming, 24, who ended last season at Galway United.

Former Bulls keeper Michael Ingham has signed a contract extension at York to keep him at the club until the summer of 2013. He has spent the last three years at the club since being released from Edgar Street. Cheltenham have signed released Wycombe defender Alan Bennett. The 29 year old former Brentford man has spent the last five years in England after starting out with Cork City.

Gillingham have signed Peterboro midfielder Charlie Lee on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee. The 24 year old former Spurs trainee had a month at Priestfield on loan last season. Crewe forward Byron Moore has signed a new one year deal with the club. The 22 year old seemed set to leave but has now agreed a deal after failing to agree a move elsewhere.

Torquay have sold striker Chris Zebroski to Bristol Rovers for an undisclosed fee. They had earlier rejected an initial offer for the forward. Barnet say they have agreed a compensation package with Notts County over Martin Allen's move to the League One side. Cheltenham are trialling five teenagers, three of them having been released by Shrewsbury.

Shrewsbury say they have agreed a deal with Accrington striker Terry Gornell to join the club, but that they are yet to agree a fee with Stanley. Rotherham have signed released Brentford striker Lewis Grabban. The former Millwall man scored four times in 18 games after signing for the Bees in January. Tim Sills has signed for Conf South side Basingstoke Town. He played for them previously ten years ago before moving up into the Conf and L2.

Morecambe have released winger Adam Rundle midway through his two year contract so he can seek regular first team football elsewhere. The 26 year old started only eight League games last term.
