Former Bulls striker Alan Connell is set for a move to Swindon Town after submitting a transfer request.
The Robins lodged a six-figure bid with current side Grimsby today and, following Connell's request to leave, the Mariners accepted the bid. He is due to have a medical at the County Ground tomorrow with the move to be sealed shortly after.
Connell, 28, scored 25 times for the Mariners in his only season in Conference football. Since leaving the Bulls in the summer of 2007 he scored 20 times in 102 games for Bournemouth and Brentford in League Two.
Meanwhile Supporters Direct have received around half of their grant from the Football Stadia Improvement Fund that was withdrawn last month after a twitter outburst from their former chief. The FSIF will consider putting the rest of the grant back in place next month.
