Hereford United supporters have seldom been known to buy their season tickets early unless a big discount has been available so the news that sales are steady will come as little surprise to supporters.
"I think they are going okay," said Tim Russon, the Hereford United vice-chairman.
"I think they are on a par with last year. We will look to the next few weeks for a bit of a lift.
"At present there's not a lot happening, the players are away.
"I think the players come back from holiday next Wednesday and as soon as they come back there is a bit of a buzz around the town. The pre-season friendlies start, people start talking about us. The Bulls are back in training, there are pictures in the papers and Fleets is back.
"Then hopefully the word spreads around.
"I think Hereford United fans are pretty set in their ways in so much as they do things at certain times and I'm sure there are lots of fans who wait to see how things are going.
"Hopefully following on from Christmas last year I think there is a lot of reason to be optimistic."
Footnote: Hereford United season tickets now include cup matches so are even better value then last season.
