Dover striker Adam Birchall claims his £250,000 asking price is stopping Football League clubs from bidding for his services. He scored 45 goals in 49 games last season and has told the local press he wants another shot at League football. Lincoln are said to be set for legal action over comments made by chairman Bob Dorrian at a recent fans forum. Shareholder Michael Foley made an investment offer to the board in March, but is now to sue the club and Dorrian for libel and slander over Dorrian's comments about the deal.

Luton have secured a friendly with Serie A side Parma. The Italians are in the country to play two Premier League sides and a Championship team. Kettering chairman Imraan Ladak says he wants Darlington boss Mark Cooper back at Rockingham Road as manager. Cooper was boss there prior to his brief spell at Peterboro.

According to a Football Intelligence report into tax debt at clubs, the 72 clubs in the Football League owed less in tax than the 22 Conference sides at the end of the 2010/11 tax year. FL clubs owed £237,000 with the Conference sides owing £20,000 more and Conf North and South sides owing another £142,000. However it is Northern Ireland football that is in the worst state, with it's 12 club league owing £191,000.
