HMRC will meet the Football League and Premier League in the High Court on November 28th in a bid to oust the football creditors rule.
At a hearing today Mr Justice Newey heard arguments from the Football League and HMRC, and he has sent it for a full hearing to begin on November 28th. Should the taxman win football clubs would no longer have protection from other clubs going bust, and players and other staff would have no protection if their employers went under either.
