News Round-Up

Burton keeper Adam Legzdins says he will stay with the club after press speculation linked him to a move to a Championship side. The 24 year old says that, after his first full season as first choice, he wants to get more experience under his belt first. A couple of national newspapers are claiming that Man City have offered Crewe £500,000 for 15 year old midfielder Dan Smith. The Railwaymen are also reported to be fielding offers for their three England u17 internationals.

Yeovil have released former Bulls trialist striker Sam Williams, after just six goals in 77 games, along with fellow strikers Martin Gritton and Craig Calver. Current Bulls loanee Stefan Stam has also been - unsurprisingly - officially released. Former Bull Andy Williams remains under contract for another season. Brighton have released six players including former Bury and Stevenage loanee Chris Holroyd, who scored seven times in 16 games in League Two this season.

Plymouth have awarded veteran keeper Romain Larrieu a testimonial. The 34 year old has played over 300 times for the Pilgrims since arriving at the club ten years ago. Cambridge boss Jez George's first task is to slash the wage bill at the Abbey Stadium. Chairman Paul Barry says a number of players under contract for next season will have to be offloaded.

Rotherham striker Adam Le Fondre says he will see out the final year of his contract before leaving. He told the press: "It doesn't thrill me to be playing in this division and I think I deserve to play higher." Luton beat Wrexham 3-0 at the Racecourse Ground last night in their first leg play-off match. Fleetwood entertain AFC Wimbledon tonight.
