News Round-Up

Stockport have invited application for their manager's job, but are yet to reveal whether that means the end for current caretaker boss Ray Mathias or that he is one of those to be considered. Lincoln are to field seven trialists in their reserve match today. Most are youngsters being released by higher graded sides.

Accrington have signed a six-figure three year deal with a local IT firm to be the club's main sponsor. Stanley had two key sponsors go bust this season, leaving them with a severe cash flow problem. Northampton boss Gary Johnson says the club will relay their Sixfields pitch in the summer so that he can play the passing style he wants his side to adopt.

Bradford have returned loanee Kevin Ellison to Rotherham due to ongoing injury problems. The 32 year old winger has missed the last nine games with a thigh problem. Plymouth boss Peter Reid says he wants to stay with the club but won't know whether that will happen until they have new owners. Reid is contracted for another season at Home Park.

Lincoln have cut admission prices for their crunch match with Aldershot to just £7 for adults, but the offer is not being extended to Shots supporters. Grimsby have released seven players following the end of the Conference season. Among them is veteran forward Lee Peacock and former Premier League midfielder Bryan Hughes.

Stockport have issued a club statement saying they have held preliminary talks with a number of 'national and international' investors looking to take over the club. The statement adds that some of the people involved have prior experience in football.
