Northampton have named Gary Johnson as their new manager on a two and a half year deal.
The former Yeovil, Bristol City, and Peterboro manager takes over on a two and a half year deal despite the club claiming they would not be rushing a decision. They sacked Ian Sampson just two days ago.
Chairman Dennis Cardoza told their official site: "I am delighted that we have got our man. As soon as we parted with Ian Sampson, we identified Gary as our top target and we moved quickly to get him."
