Support Matters says Pitman

In advance of this afternoon's League Two match against Accrington Stanley, Jamie Pitman has asked supporters to get behind the team just as they did during the last home game against Port Vale two weeks ago.

"In the last home game we had an excellent response from the crowd and the players said how much it lifted them in the last 20 minutes," said Hereford United care-taker manager.

"We are hoping to get the same response this afternoon.

"Accrington are a good footballing side and are capable of scoring goals. We need to combat that.

"Ideally, we want to get a clean sheet and to get that we have to work hard, it’s going to be a tough game."

A win for the Bulls could lift them off the bottom of the table.

"If we win there is a good opportunity we can get out of the bottom two which would mentally be a very important thing for us."
