Chairman David Keyte has spoken to the Worcester News about today's dismissal of Simon Davey:
"We thought we had made the right appointment for the club back in June. We were desperate for it to work out. I can’t be critical of Simon in terms of what he brought to the club except for the results.
"One of the players came to me today and said Simon had left the club in a better position than the previous regime, despite the results. But the search now begins to find the right person."
The paper goes on to say that Jimmy Harvey was 'unavailable for comment' when they tried to speak to him today.
Meanwhile vice-chairman Tim Russon has told BN that it's highly unlikely there will be any news on a new manager before next Monday.
