Can't Fault the Players said Davey

Hereford United manager Simon Davey admitted that despite another defeat he couldn't fault his players this afternoon.

"Defeated again, I couldn't fault any of the lads, they worked their socks off," Davey told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"That's the way it goes, we've got to dig in and get on with it.

"If anything we probably had more of the possession, we got into their final third a lot more times than they got into ours.

Former Hereford United loanee Mark Marshall scored Barnet's first goal and their second was as a result of a back-pass from Ryan Valentine which Adam Bartlett failed to gather.

"It's pass back. I think Adam's gone to clear it and it bobbled over his foot and rolled into the back of the net. No fault on Adam - he's been absolutely fanastic all season.

"When you're down the bottom if anything can go wrong it goes wrong.

"I really feel for him because he thinks he's lost us the game."

Stuart Fleetwood had to be replaced quite early in the game with a bad back.

"He was struggling. In the first five he had a knock on it. He wasn't moving freely and he just signalled to the bench to come off."

Keith Hall then asked Davey 'where do you go from here?'

"I go home to see my family and then I pick up the paper in the morning and see another 2-0 defeat.

"I sulk for 24/48 hours and then I go back to work until somebody tells me not to."
