With news that the interview process has started at Edgar Street, the bookies have gone in different directions on who is likely to get the job.
With Jimmy Harvey retaining favouritism with Victor Chandler, Skybet have now made Colin Addison the 5/2 favourite, having been 25/1 two days ago, but the big mover of the day is Steve Hodge.
Having started the day not even listed in the market, he is now a 4/1 chance after starting at 14/1. Hodge, 48, played 24 times for England. He told The Times in the summer of his ambition in the game:
"I have been with the football academy at Nottingham Forest for three or four years, handling the under-14s and under-15s after getting my qualifications some time ago. I also help at Forest by answering fans’ questions at forums before matches. I am happy doing what I am but, like most former players, I would like to be involved in the game full-time. It is difficult to get into the game once you have been out of it for a while but I live in hope."
It is worth noting that Victor Chandler, who are the only bookie offering odds on Hodge, sponsor Nottm Forest.
