Guillem Bauza's friends wanted him to return to Spain during the summer but the former Swansea City striker was determined to stay in the UK and find another club.
"I had offers to go back to Spain of course, but I wanted to play in England. I wanted another challenge after Swansea," Bauza told the Mirror.
"I had a chance to go to Charlton, but that broke down. Then I had to wait and the only offer I had in this country was Hereford and I was very happy to join them.
"My friends think I am a little crazy, but I love the English football and the passion of the crowds. From the first moment I came to England I loved it."
According to the paper despite missing a penalty yesterday 'Hereford supporters love him'. And he was made man of the match.
