Despite taking just four points from their first five League games, this isn't the worst start for the Bulls in recent years.
Go back to 1993/94.
That season the first four games were lost, then a win away at Scunthorpe gave the Bulls just three points from their first five games.
However seven goals were scored in those five games and nowhere near as many yellow cards had been 'awarded'.
1995/95 wasn't back better with just four points after the five five games. That season at this stage four goals been scored.
What is worrying about this season is that just one goal has been scored in five games. And that was by captain Janos Kovacs, a central defender.
And one other point has to be made - the card count.
Whilst no player has been sent off, the Bulls have received 16 yellow cards in League games already. Add the three in the Carling Cup match and that's 19 in six games. Possibly the worst count at this stage for many seasons.
