Southend have avoided Administration, with supermarket Sainsbury guaranteeing the club's debts for the next 12 months.
The Shrimps cleared their £340,000 tax debt ahead of today's court date with the supermarket's help, and that help will continue through the season as the two try to get their stadium relocation off the ground.
Chairman Ron Martin told the press he was confident that their transfer embargo would be lifted shortly and that 'all the club's debts were now up to date'.
