In his post match interview at Neath yesterday, Hereford United manager Simon Davey once again implied he would manage with a squad of 20.
"We've got 18 in now. We're still waiting on Samba's agent to come in. Should be 19 done by Monday," said Davey.
"Just one slot left.
"Whether that will come from the players we've got (on trial) or whether it will come from an outside source, we don't know yet.
"We've got the cushion of 18 players in the building now - we can field a squad at least for Crewe.
"Hopefully 20 by the start of the season. But there's no rush on that. We can take our time to get the last piece."
Davey said that Mathieu Manset who missed out yesterday with an ankle injury should return to training tomorrow.
