A delighted Simon Davey has said that today's 1-0 win away at Crewe was a great start to the season for the Bulls.
"The way the lads worked today was absolutely fantastic, they all deserve a pat on the back." Davey told BBC Hereford and Worcester. "Finer details, the workrate, you get team spirit like that you get results.
"That was a difficult day today for us - Crewe are a very good side - but if we continue to do things like that on a weekly basis we won't far off.
"We're not the finished article by no means and we have a long long way to go. But that's a great start. It's a platform for us to build on."
Hereford's goal was scored by captain Janos Kovacs.
"That's why we made him captain. He seems as though he's Hereford born and bred at the moment. He's not only a defender that gives you 100%.
"There was only one set of supporters you could hear all day. They've been absolutely fantastic. The three points are dedicated to them"
