Several Exeter City supporters joined thousands of Hereford United supporters in a minute long applause for Adam Stansfield who sadly died earlier this week.
Gillingham supporters also joined in the applause which proceeded this afternoon's match.
And at several times during the match the Meadow End sang 'there's only one Adam Stansfield.'
On their way back from Hereford one of the Exeter supports at the game, Rhiannon (hopefully correct spelling) had a text read out on Five Live.
"My Dad and I went to watch Hereford and Gillingham as Exeter fans in memory of Adam Stansfield today.
"Can I say thank you very much to the Hereford fans who gave us an almighty applause as we left the stadium singing there's only one Adam Stansfield.
"The positive side of football fans."
