In his post match interview at Telford last night Hereford United manager Simon Davey made mention of midfielder O'Neil Thompson and how his 'presence' helps the squad.
"I think in the division we are in we have to have good players. We have to have fit players and they have to have presence. They have to be big and strong.
"Bringing in O'Neil does give us presence in the middle of the park. That wasn't there before I came. He gives us that presence.
"Although it wasn't his best performance for forty-five minutes he made one and scored one. That's not bad."
Davey put out a smaller side with several trialists in the first half but admitted 'we were found wanting'.
"There were two wingers out. We had Diogo, a Portuguese boy, right wing and Kissock from Everton who is a left winger but right footed. I went 4-4-2 to look at those two players. Second half I reverted back to 4-3-3 system and we looked a lot more comfortable."
