Chesterfield are to sign Scunthorpe midfielder Ian Morris on a season long loan. The 23 year old Irishman had a seven game loan spell with the Spireites last season. Gillingham are reported to have accepted a £600,000 bid from Norwich for Simeon Jackson. They originally wanted £1.5million, but he could have walked for nothing at the end of the season.

Lincoln have signed former Notts County striker Delroy Facey on a one year deal. Facey, 30, played ten games on loan at Sincil Bank last season, scoring once. Stockport have signed released Rotherham full back Mark Lynch. The former Man Utd trainee, 28, has made just 31 League appearances in two seasons with the Millers.

Burton have signed Aaron Webster to a one year deal with a second year option after fending off interest from Crewe, who had offered the full back a two year deal. Wycombe are claimed to be moving to sign Brentford defender Alan Bennett after Adam Hinshelwood's retirement yesterday. He would be the fourth Bee to sign for the Chairboys this summer.

Gillingham defender Simon King, who missed last season through injury, is not expected to be fit before the end of the year. Darlington have signed Peterboro striker Liam Hatch on a six month loan. Former Bulls striker Andy Moran has joined Airbus UK from Prestatyn. He has scored 113 goals in 198 Welsh Premier matches.

Stockport beat an 'African National Select XI' 3-1 last night in their first pre-season game. New boss Paul Simpson fielded a number of trialists including Spanish striker Esteban Casagolda, who has spent most of his career in the Belgian third and fourth divisions. New Aldershot striker Jack Randall has fractured a bone in his ankle and will miss three months.

Departed Southend player Alan McCormack says he was paid just once since Christmas by the ailing club. The Shrimpers say they have lodged funds to clear the debts with the taxman and loan company that have seen them in court twice this month. Stockport have signed much travelled striker Barry Conlon. The 31 year old spent last season at Chesterfield and Grimsby.

Former Bulls loanee Tony Capaldi is training with former club Plymouth after leaving Cardiff. Capaldi left the Pilgrims under a cloud after opting to run out his contract and leave on a free, a move that saw him become a hate figure at Home Park. Rotherham are to sign Leeds striker Tom Elliott on loan until January. The 19 year old had spells with Macclesfield and Bury last season.

Stevenage have failed to get council assistance to aid the £200,000 cost of installing the CCTV system required by the Football League to their council-owned Broadhall Way. They have, however, managed to get a rent increase delayed that will be saving them £75,000 in total over two years. They currently pay £25,000 to rent the stadium, but the council wanted to triple it. The Boro are chasing a new striker, with ex-Shrew Omer Riza, former Charlton man Chris Dickson, and non-leaguer Warren McBean all on trial with the club.

Morecambe are to play a couple of behind closed doors friendlies against higher graded sides to replace the three home games called off due to delays in opening their new stadium. Lincoln have loaned defender Danny Hone to Darlington until January. The 20 year old was put on the transfer list in May. Bury say they missed out on the signing of Mark Lynch as they couldn't match Stockport's offer.
