The Bulls continue their pre-season preparations on Thursday evening with a visit to Lydbrook Athletic's headquarters at Reeds Sports Ground. PLEASE NOTE, this game is scheduled for a 7.00 pm Kick-off.
Lydbrook trace their history back to 1919 and in the early days the players were taken across the Wye by ferry to play at Lower Lydbrook. In the fifties they won the Herefordshire League on five occasions and also collected the Senior Cup and Charity Bowl twice. During the sixties, they competed in the Warwickshire Combination where they often played against the United reserves as well as teams from Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion. Former Bulls' favourite, Eric Redrobe had a spell at Lydbrook after finishing his second period at Edgar Street in the late seventies.
They currently play in the Gloucestershire Northern Senior League finishing in fourth position last season.
