Crewe have announced the departures of midfielder Steven Schumacher and defender Danny O'Donnell when their contracts expire in the summer. O'Donnell cost the Railwaymen £100,000 from Liverpool three years ago.

Shrewsbury are understood to have dispensed with the services of coaches Stuart Delaney and Dave Timmins, who were part of Paul Simpson's backroom. Former defender Mike Jackson and youth coach Dave Hughes will take charge of the team for tomorrow's match. Gary Breen has been named in the Republic of Ireland u23 side to face the England 'C' tean, formerly the National Game XI, in the International Challenge Trophy in late May.
