Hereford United's director of football, Graham Turner, has promised to do all he can to help new manager John Trewick.
"It's a good time for John to be taking over as we have quite a few players out of contract," Turner told the Official Website.
"What we have got to do is to give John ever opportunity.
"I'm not going to be totally divorced from the playing side. I'll go and watch the odd match, the odd player and maybe turn up at the training ground.
"John will take total charge of team affairs, that needs to be made clear.
"I'm still here. We'll still talk about the game. We'll still ananlyse it afterwards. And anything I can do to help the cause will be done.
"John fancied a manager's role somewhere, sometime before he finishes his career.
"This gives him an opportunity now with a stable club"
