Darlington's Administrator has extended his deadline for bids for the club by two weeks. Today's 5pm deadline saw no bids being accepted, although talks are ongoing with a number of bidders. The Administrator stresses that the date is not a deadline for the club to close. The Quakers have also had little joy in resolving the situation of their loan players with boss Dave Penney saying he considers the forward pair to be finished with the club. Carlisle, one of the loan clubs, say that striker Danny Carlton can play 'at the Administrator's discretion' suggesting that he can play if they pay.
Southend have issued a statement regarding trouble at their home match with Leicester that saw the Foxes promoted. Four Foxes fans got into a home section and a fight broke out between them and Shrimpers fans and ended with Shrimpers fans fighting amongst themselves. The club have received an £8,000 bill for additional Police to quell the trouble and the club has vowed to ban anyone who is identified by CCTV evidence.
Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe has blasted owner Paul Baker for the timing of his announcement over the future of the club last week. They entertained Baker's beloved Chester on Saturday, and face rivals Grimsby this Saturday with the match expected to sell-out. Cheltenham have extended the loan of Bristol City player Frankie Artus until the end of the season but Northampton have recalled Leon Constantine due to injury concerns.
Scunthorpe will receive £150,000 as part of the sale of striker Andy Keogh after Wolves won promotion to the Premier League. £30,000 of the fee will go to Leeds as their cut from his previous transfer. Northampton have signed a £100,000 a year three season deal with their current shirt sponsors to ease their money troubles. It is claimed to be a 25% increase on the current deal.
