It's getting on for 40 years since plans were announced to build the Len Weston Stand at Hereford United's Edgar Street stadium.
The A49 which runs alongside the stadium was to be made wider and this meant that the stand had to be quite a narrow structure.
Len Weston, from the well-respected cider company, joined the Hereford United board in 1946 and was appointed chairman in 1949.
He remained chairman until 1965 and later became the club's first president until his death in March 1971.
Len became known as Mr Hereford United and the naming of the stand was a tribute to him.
These pictures are part of a set of eight which can be seen on http://oldherefordpics.blogspot.com/search/label/Hereford%20United%20FC.
The site promises more memory jerking pics of Hereford United in the near future.
